Google’s latest operating system Android which was released earlier in 2009 and its successful versions Google has released the brand new version of Google Android 2.0/2.0.1/2.1(Eclair). Apart from its past features it has also many improvements and upgradation in the existing features like Optimized Hardware speed, Bluetooth 2.1,Built in flash support for camera, New contact lists, white/black ratio for backgrounds,Improved Google Maps 3.1.2,Microsoft Exchange support,Digital Zoom,Improved virtual keyboard. Although Eclair is mainly designed for the smartphones but is also available in notebook and was first seen in Acer aspire one netbook. With the release of this version Google has increased its market share from 2.8%to 3.5%.It is also well received by those people who had experienced google Android. This would be a totally new revolution in the field of technology and its future is looking very bright.lets see.

We are all familiar of the operating systems of the computers especially the Microsoft windows series which has acquired the 90% market in computer world.With its new version releases very few people are aware of the other operating systems for example Linux.With so much competition in this field Google has introduced its own operating system with well equipped features named Google Android.The early vesion of Google Android was first seen in Google smartphone Nexus One after it was initially released in late 2008.After it was well recieved by the company Google officially released its brand new versions first in April 2009 named 1.5(Cupcake) and then in 1.6(Donut).These operating systems are mainly used in mobiles.Both versions has attractive features with Java,Media and additional Hardware support of all type.In ddition to this it also has multi basic options like web browsing ,messaging, multi touch, storage and handset layouts.1.5(cupcake) was introduced with the ability of recording in camcorder mode along with feature of uploading the videos directly to Youtube from phone and with Bluetooth A2Dp along with animations between the screens.Its Upgraded version 1.6(Donut)

was introduced with the improvements in all department most notably it has an integrated camera and gallery interface option.This version has updated voice search and updated technology support for CDMA/EVDO, 802.1x VPN, gestures, and a text-to-speech engine.Google has also announced another upgrade version which will be shortly introduced.

Nexus One uses the Android 2.1(Eclair) operating system.Storage capacity includes Flash memory of 512MB with memory card slot of 4GB expandable upto 32GB. Nexus One consist of 1GHZ Qualcom CPU and 512MB od DRAM with a WVGA Amoled Multi-Touch screen In a 3.7inch diagnol widescreen supporting 480×800px resolution. The phone come with a 5.0mp auto-focus camera with optical zoom and LED display along with the connectivity options of GPS receiver,Blue tooth 2.1 and WI-FI (802 11a/b/g/n) which provides wide range of data transfers of all types.Talking about its size and weight, Nexus One weighs 130g with battery and 100g without battery and it is 119mm long, 59.8mm wide and 11.5mm in depth.It features a harware decoding for MP4 and is capable of playing WAV,MIDI,MP3 and AAC+ audio files.It has JPEG,BMP,GIF and PNG image display options. Nexus one has a incredible talk time of 12 hours and can spend 290 hours of standby and 5 hours of internet browsing. In addition to this is also contains Capacitive touchscreen display, headset controls, digital compass, proximity and ambient light sensors, 3-axis accelerometer, digital compass and trackball.

Drawbacks:
Despite its brilliant features it is reported that Nexus One also possess some minor drawbacks like its screen is not viewable in direct sunlight and it has calliberation issues with the touch screen, though these minor problems were only seen in opening releases of Nexus One cellphones but now users have not found any issues regarding cellphone or its features.

Reception and Market:
Nexus One’s advance option and unique design has made it the most demanded mobile just after its release on 5 January 2010. It is well received by the public and its Market value has sky rocketed after Google announced the deduction in it introductory price that was %539$.
